Recently, some of the students at my workshop have asked me about the steps in picking stocks. This is a bit surprising given that passive funds and systematic funds are becoming so popular. However, I see validity in their question because I have come across fund managers who use a combination of systems and human judgement for stock picking.
In fact, some friends in the investment field were able to pick multi-baggers even though these stocks may not get picked up by systematic funds, and the fact that they can hold them longer than a ‘system’ would allow. Whether you are a believer of systems, the human judgement, or a combination (like me), I would be sharing my screening criteria in upcoming blog posts. Stay tuned!
